The Taiwan Journal of Emergency Medicine is a high-quality Open Access journal aimed at showcasing the numerous medical innovations and scientific advancements that have been made throughout the world, thereby helping the discipline to forge ahead. It is targeted at doctors and medical staff completing emergency medicine training or practice. Interesting medical situations, the current evidence-based training and research in emergency medicine, including emergency pediatrics, are included. The Taiwan Journal of Emergency Medicine focuses on emergency medicine practice in a variety of settings, from urban emergency departments and remote clinics in the developing world to humanitarian emergencies and disasters. This seeks to shed light on global developments in training, education and research with a single common goal: minimizing suffering and fostering excellence in patient care throughout the world.
Peer-review policy
This Journal uses double-blind peer review processes and publishes high-quality articles in various categories including original research articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, perspectives, editorials, editorial letters, etc. The members of the Journal Editorial Board conduct the peer review process and other eminent experts provided that at least two or more independent reviewers approve the article, followed by the approval of the editors for final acceptance.
Published articles are freely accessible worldwide and can be accessed or downloaded without the permission of the publisher, but the copyright is maintained. Under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License articles are distributed.
